The summer temperatures in Texas may be miserable, but the sky is pretty amazing.

This will surprise exactly no one, but I love having flowers in the house and taking pictures of them.

There's a reason that my kitchen is perpetually less tidy than it used to be, but that reason is so cute I don't really mind.

The trees in our backyard are flowering. Eventually, I should look up what kind of tree they are, but for now I'm just enjoying them.

Pancake

I love three-ingredient banana pancakes, but cooking a batch always feels excessively time-consuming, especially when there is a small assistant strewing kitchen implements everywhere underfoot. It finally occurred to me that I could make a giant German-style pancake instead, and it worked!

Recipe 

(This recipe is everywhere, so I don't have a specific website to credit.)

Mix the following in a food processor or blender:

- 2 bananas

- 3 eggs

- 1/4 cup coconut flour

Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat and then pour in the batter. Cover with a lid for ~5 minutes, then carefully flip and let cook for another ~3 minutes before sliding onto a plate. 

Serves around 2.

Green

It's a good thing I got a pretty picture out of these green onions from our produce co-op when I chopped them up, because it's been a week, and I still haven't used them in anything. I keep trying to like them, and it just isn't happening.

Cool

It's been in the 90s all week. Spending some time in the pool is the only reasonable response.

Blueberries

My aunt discovered a blueberry farm out in East Texas, so of course we had to go. Evelyn thought that the dirt-garnished blueberries were the very best thing ever.
