Deadly flora

We stopped at Darlingtonia Botanical Wayside a few years ago on a trip to the Oregon coast. It is filled with Darlingtonia californica (pitcher plants). They're quite pretty for such bloodthirsty plants.

  1. I had to look up Darlingtonia californica. Now I've had my biology lesson for the day.

I need a plant like that that attracts and eats ants. Or, better yet, mosquitoes in the summer.

  2. You got a good picture of them!
~ my little guy expected a lot more action from these meat eaters, he was disappointed with their passive aggressive nature.
